Wow! We were lucky this time. We got some guys of the amazing Wicked Aura in front of the mic. The talented band from Singapore tours around the world a great deal of their time and will perform in Germany soon. We’re trying to hook them up with some venues in Berlin, so you might be able to enjoy some sweet music in the near future. Have fun!

One Year Travelling Anniversary – Marianne’s Birthday Song
It seems almost unreal that we’ve been sailing for an entire year now! 12 months ago we caught our first glimpse of the beautiful Marianne, and since that great moment we’ve now got to spend 365 magnificent sunrises and sunsets on her. We would like to seize this opportunity to shout out a big THANK YOU to all of you who literally kept this project afloat! Today marks a fresh start into a new year for our project and we have tons of audio and video material which we will be editing and presenting to you in the next weeks and months. So let the new chapter begin and check out our (B)logbook. We took this chance to reset some things to “zero”, so be sure to watch!
Being Slow
As you probably know, we’ve been recording musicians since day 1 of this project. Well, our project aims to compile the very best into a number of songs at the end of the project. Here’s a taste of what something like that could sound and look like.
Recorded in Thailand, 6 musicians, 3 nations, 1 song!
- Lincoln Davis – Australia, Baiyoke Tower in Bangkok
- Natthapong Yutthanasirikul – Thailand, Somtow’s House in Bangkok
- Pimluk Mai – Thailand, King’s Palace in Bangkok
- Reinhard Liebers – Germany, Suoay Vista Social Club in Hua Hin
- Montonn Jira – Thailand, his studio in Bangkok
- Captain Ben – Germany, Baiyoke Tower in Bangkok
We took a shortcut
What a perfect start into 2012! We’re taking a little shortcut to our final destination – Germany.
The Düsseldorf International Boat Show (German: Internationale Bootsausstellung Düsseldorf), one of the world’s premier boat shows has invited the Sailing Conductors to present their project.
We will be there! Exhibition hall 17 (Halle 17).

A story about hair cutting
After we got back from Germany to Vietnam the captain didn’t like his rasta hair style anymore. So he decided to chop off the dreads. Of course the Smutje had to go along with this decision and cut his hair, too. This short piece of art is accompanied by a live recording of some Karaoke music on Phu Quoc.
Have fun!
